Charge: To provide consultation and support to the outside evaluator team, ensuring that the appropriate outcomes are identified, measured and evaluated. In addition, to identify the critical success factors (data elements) that are necessary to gather and/or monitor to appropriately manage the project and monitor various programs elements (e.g. incident-based response system). To minimize new data collection burdens, the Committee will build on existing data collection tools and use all available technology.

Summary of Efforts to Date: The Evaluation team meets regularly to ensure that the appropriate outcomes are identified, measured and evaluated. The team has reviewed the Evaluation Plan and current action items include:

• Bringing in the Training Team to ensure that we capture data related to training
• Including a feedback loop in the plan to allow work with donors of data at the community levels to proceed in a timely manner
• Evaluation process needs feedback from different players/partners involved with Chicago Safe Start
